Bipolar scissors are ideal for precise point- or surface-shaped coagulation. The electrical current runs between both scissor blades in a limited tissue area. This offers more safety for the patient compared to monopolar scissors. 

Bipolar forceps can securely grasp tissue, precisely dissect, and effectively coagulate small as well as very large blood vessels. This can eliminate the need for surgical clips or staples.
