A 18.5Fr resectoscope sheath is small and efficient. It has a 6 mm reduced diameter which provides a solution to complications of dilation and sub optimal view.
The 18.5Fr resectoscope sheath is widely used for septum resection, polypectomy, and biopsy.
The use of small-diameter resectoscope shafts may cause a reduction in the incidence of urethral strictures in relation to urethral friction and mucosal damage.
